Over the past day, the Russian army carried out 35 attacks on 26 settlements in Sumy region, killing one person and injuring 12.
This was reported by the regional military administration’s press service and the National Police.
In the Krasnopillia community, a 56-year-old woman was killed; a 59-year-old man and an 80-year-old woman were injured.
In the Sumy community, a 69-year-old man was injured after an enemy drone strike.
In the Trostianets community, a UAV strike injured men aged 49 and 63, and women aged 41, 42 and 52.
In the Seredyna-Buda community, a 50-year-old woman was injured in a mortar attack, and a 53-year-old woman was injured in an enemy drone strike.
In the Popivka community, a 79-year-old woman was injured, and in the Nedryhailiv community, a 52-year-old man was injured.
Russian forces carried out more than 50 attacks on 25 settlements across 15 territorial communities in the region.
The highest number of attacks was recorded in Sumy, Shostka and Konotop districts.
Settlements in the Sadiv, Khotin, Yunakivka, Krasnopillia and Vorozhba communities came under enemy fire,
as did those in the Esman, Seredyna-Buda, Krolevets, Popivka, Konotop, Buryn, Trostianets, Velyka Pysarivka and Nedryhailiv communities.
The enemy used mortars, artillery, FPV drones, UAVs and guided aerial bombs against Sumy region.
Civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged and destroyed:
- in the Krasnopillia community, private homes and a car were damaged;
- in the Vorozhba community, a civilian infrastructure facility was damaged;
- in the Trostianets community, a multi-storey residential building, administrative and non-residential premises, and cars were damaged;
- in the Krolevets community, civilian infrastructure facilities, multi-storey residential buildings, a private house, an outbuilding and a car were damaged;
- in the Sumy community, non-residential premises, a private home and a car were damaged;
- in the Seredyna-Buda community, private homes, a non-residential building, cars, agricultural machinery and a civilian infrastructure facility were damaged;
- in the Popivka community, a non-residential building, a private home and an outbuilding were damaged;
- in the Velyka Pysarivka community, a private home and outbuildings were damaged;
- in the Nedryhailiv community, a non-residential building, a car and agricultural machinery were damaged;
- in the Sadiv community, an educational institution building was damaged;
- in the Buryn community, an administrative building was damaged;
- in the Konotop community, vehicles were damaged;
- in the Shostka and Seredyna-Buda communities, as a result of earlier attacks, private households and other property were damaged; in the Shostka community, civilian infrastructure facilities were also damaged.
Over the past day, the air-raid alert in the region lasted 20 hours and 47 minutes.
