New Tactics for Strikes on Kyiv

From the night of 27 August, Russia switched to effectively continuous strikes by small groups of drones on the capital region. A significant share of the UAVs are jet-powered: such drones move several times faster than those with propeller engines and are harder to shoot down.

During the day on 27 August, four people were injured as a result of chaotic attacks on the capital. At the same time as the strikes on the capital, the enemy terrorised Kyiv Region.

On 28 August, the Russians killed one person in Kyiv Region, and at least three more were injured during the day. The enemy hit a Nova Poshta terminal and a neighbouring facility. After the first strike, they carried out a repeat strike on the same location, and it was as a result of these attacks that a man cycling along the street was killed.

In the evening, the enemy carried out numerous strikes on the outskirts of Kyiv, targeting warehouses. In the evening, a production facility in Bucha district, in the village of Myla, was damaged. There, detonation began, and hundreds of people had to be evacuated. At least six people were injured, and there are reports of fatalities.
