President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that overnight the Defence Forces of Ukraine struck sites used to store, prepare and launch attack drones in the Oryol and Rostov regions. There were also hits on a military airfield in Yeysk and in the Black Sea.
“Our warriors also applied long-range sanctions to an oil refinery in the Leningrad region, which brings millions of dollars into the war budget every month. Effective long-range operations over the week have also been confirmed, including against facilities in Bashkortostan and the Arkhangelsk region,” the head of state noted on Telegram.
According to Zelenskyy, Russia must feel every day that the war is returning to where it came from, and it is important that “our long-range impact” is reinforced by new sanctions steps by partners against Russia’s military infrastructure.
“The absolute majority of the means by which the aggressor terrorises Ukrainian cities and communities simply cannot function without thousands and thousands of foreign components, chemicals and machine tools. We constantly share details with our partners about Russian schemes to circumvent sanctions. I am grateful to everyone who helps to close them,” the president added.
- The General Staff confirmed that on the night of 30 August 2026 units of the Defence Forces of Ukraine struck a number of important enemy targets, including an oil refinery, a drone launch site and an airfield.
