On the morning of 31 August, the Russian army attacked warehouse facilities in the village of Pohreby, near Kyiv. The Kyiv City Military Administration reported this.
Initial reports indicated damage to warehouses in Kyiv’s Desnianskyi district. Later, the KCMA clarified that the strike hit the suburbs.
According to the head of the Regional Military Administration, Tymur Tkachenko, the morning attacks across the region have left people injured.
“Two men sustained shrapnel wounds to their limbs. They were taken to a local hospital, where doctors are providing all necessary assistance. Two more people were injured in Brovary district. Medical care is being provided,” he said.
The enemy continues to attack civilian sites. In Brovary district, warehouse facilities and a retail premises have been damaged. In Boryspil district, three warehouse facilities and a block of flats have been damaged.
Since the night of 27 August, Russia has shifted to effectively continuous strikes by small groups of drones on the capital region. A significant share of the UAVs are jet-powered: such drones move several times faster than those with propeller engines and are harder to shoot down.
During the day on 27 August, four people were injured as a result of chaotic attacks on the capital. At the same time as the strikes on the capital, the enemy terrorised Kyiv region.
On the morning of 28 August, the Russians killed one person in Kyiv region, and at least three more were injured during the day. The enemy hit a Nova Poshta terminal and a neighbouring production facility. After the first strike, it carried out a repeat strike on the same location, and it was as a result of these attacks that a man riding his bicycle along the street was killed.
In the evening, the enemy carried out numerous strikes on Kyiv’s suburbs, targeting warehouses. That evening, a production facility in Bucha district, in the village of Myla, was damaged. Detonations began there, and hundreds of people had to be evacuated. At least 38 people were killed and more than 50 injured.
On 29 August, the Russians killed a two-year-old child in Kyiv and injured another 12 people.
