President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has coordinated Ukraine’s diplomatic work for the coming weeks. The main tasks include funding defence, preparing the energy sector for winter, and supporting social programmes and economic activity.
The head of state said this on his social media.
“We coordinated diplomatic work for the coming weeks. Three key priorities: funding Ukraine’s defence, our long-range operations and mid-strikes; energy and preparations for winter; full implementation of the necessary social programmes in Ukraine and support for economic activity,” Zelenskyy said.
Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi reported on the implementation of agreements already reached with international partners and the preparation of additional steps, including with Canada, Norway and other key states.
“Ukrainian ministries and the Office team must demonstrate a much faster pace and fully work through what we discussed at leaders’ level. To cover Ukraine’s defence shortfall and energy needs, further develop social programmes and support Ukrainian business activity at this stage of the war, absolutely every opportunity for co-operation with partners must be used. No opportunity should be missed. Above all, this is a task for Ukraine’s ministries of foreign affairs, defence, finance, energy and economy. We need real results,” the President stressed.
The head of state also reported that international partners are interested in supporting veterans’ programmes in Ukraine.
“There is clear interest from various partners in supporting veterans’ programmes in Ukraine, and much more activity is needed from the relevant ministry. We agreed with the Prime Minister on additional sector-specific work accordingly,” he said.
Zelenskyy thanked international partners for their readiness to support Ukraine.
“Thank you to all partners for being ready to stand with Ukraine and Ukrainians!” the President added.
