On 17 September at 19:30, the Luxembourg Philharmonie will host “Concert for Ukraine” featuring Ukrainian violinist Dmytro Udovychenko and Luxembourgish pianist Stefan Dorneanu, the Embassy of Ukraine reports.
According to the description, the event will be dedicated to Ukrainian talent, European culture and solidarity with Ukraine through music.
The programme will include works by composers Ludwig van Beethoven (Germany), Yevhen Stankovych (Ukraine), Maurice Ravel (France) and César Franck (France/Belgium).
The concert is organised by the Embassy of Belgium in Luxembourg as part of the “Advocacy Coalition – Defending Our Future Now” initiative.
On the Luxembourg Philharmonie website, tickets for the concert cost between €26 and €38.
About Dmytro Udovychenko:
- a Ukrainian violinist from Kharkiv;
- a laureate of the Sibelius Competition in Helsinki (2022), the Singapore International Violin Competition (2022), the International Musical Competition in Montreal (2023) and the Queen Elisabeth Competition in Belgium (2024). After winning the latter, Udovychenko publicly refused to shake hands with a Russian member of the jury and pro-Putin violinist Vadim Repin.
