During the night and morning of 9 September, the enemy army attacked several districts of Kyiv Region: Bila Tserkva, Brovary, Boryspil, Fastiv, Obukhiv and Bucha. In Bila Tserkva, a food industry facility came under attack, the State Emergency Service reported.
Rescuers dealt with the aftermath throughout the night. The fire was brought under control.
“The work of emergency responders was complicated by frequent air-raid alerts and the threat of repeated Russian strikes,” the statement said.
Work is ongoing.
The head of the Regional Military Administration, Tymur Tkachenko, provided more information about the consequences of the attacks on the districts during 8 September and the night of 9 September.
“In the past 24 hours alone, the Russians have killed two people. Another seven people were injured, including two children,” he said.
In Brovary District, an outbuilding was damaged and two people were injured. In Bila Tserkva District, a production facility and a multi-storey residential building were damaged. In Obukhiv District, private homes, a production and an administrative building, a multi-storey building and seven cars were damaged.
In Boryspil District, a private home and two cars were damaged. A child was injured.
In Bucha District, eight private homes, warehouse and production facilities, and three cars were damaged. Four people were injured, including a child. Two people were killed.
“In total, 31 sites were damaged in the region, including 11 private homes, two multi-storey buildings, five production and warehouse facilities, administrative and utility buildings, as well as 12 cars,” Tkachenko said.
- Since 27 August, Russia has been using a tactic of continuous attacks with jet-powered drones on Kyiv and the region. The enemy did not attack the capital for several days, from 5 to 7 August, while American negotiators were in the city. It continued its attacks on the region during that time.
- On the night of 8 September, the Russians carried out a massive missile-and-drone attack, after which they have been continuously launching drones towards the capital. Yesterday two people were killed in the region, and others were injured.
