On the night of 2 October, air defences neutralised 88 of the 108 drones launched by Russia. The attack is ongoing, and as of the morning there are several enemy UAVs in Ukrainian airspace.
From 18:00 on 1 October, the enemy attacked with 108 strike UAVs of the Shahed type (47 of them jet-powered), Gerbera, Parodiya-type decoy drones, from the directions of: Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk — Russia, the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk region and the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea — Hvardiiske.
The air attack was repelled by aircraft, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defence Forces of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data, as of 08:00, air defences shot down and suppressed 88 enemy Shahed-type UAVs, Gerbera, and drones of other types.
Enemy air attack weapons were recorded hitting 11 locations, with debris falling in five places.
