In Kramatorsk in Donetsk Region, Russian strikes killed one person and injured four others. The attacks sparked fires in residential buildings and on the grounds of a healthcare facility.

This was reported by Ukraine’s State Emergency Service.

On the evening of 5 October, three Russian FPV drones hit a nine-storey residential building. A woman was killed and another resident was injured. The strike set four flats on fire. Rescuers contained the blaze, but had to suspend operations due to the threat of repeat strikes.

Another drone attack caused a fire on the grounds of a healthcare facility, where three ambulances caught fire. Three people were injured in the shelling. Rescuers extinguished the fire.

In addition, the strikes set a four-storey residential building alight. Firefighters contained the blaze but were forced to suspend work due to the threat of another strike.

  • Overall, over the past day the Russians shelled населённые пункты in the region 28 times. In addition to Kramatorsk, there were fatalities in Sloviansk, Druzhkivka and Sukhanivka. A total of 202 people were evacuated from the front line, including 20 children.
