Police officers from the “White Angel” unit evacuated five residents of the Kramatorsk community despite the danger of Russian drone strikes. During one of the trips, an FPV drone hit the road behind the police vehicle; the crew were not injured.
This was reported by the Donetsk Region Police.
In Kramatorsk, officers evacuated 90-year-old Tamara Pavlivna, who can move only with the help of a walking frame. The woman was carried down from the second floor of the building in their arms.
They also took 73-year-old Liubov out of the city together with her dog. Her home and neighbouring buildings were damaged and partly destroyed as a result of shelling.
“I’m shaking from what they’ve done to us. What did you come here for? What have we done to you?” the woman said.
From Ivanivka, police evacuated a man with visual impairment, and from Krasnotorka they took two more women who had been left without electricity and water during Russian bombardments.
According to law enforcement officers, every evacuation takes place under the threat of drone strikes. People are covered by police armed with shotguns.
“Russian forces are intensifying FPV drone strikes on Kramatorsk and the surrounding area every day. But we keep working — people need to be saved,” said Maksym Skazhennikov, an officer with the “White Angel” unit.
