Russians once again attacked the Zhytomyr Region, including rail and energy infrastructure. As of the morning of 12 October, there is no information about any casualties.
This was reported on Telegram by the head of the Regional Military Administration Vitaliy Bunechko.
"Since the evening, the enemy has repeatedly shelled the north of the Zhytomyr Region. Rail and energy infrastructure facilities in Korosten district were hit," he said.
The attacks sparked fires, which rescue workers extinguished. Due to the threat of repeat shelling, State Emergency Service specialists were forced to withdraw to safe locations and then return to continue the work.
