Canadian defence technology company Dominion Dynamics and Ukraine’s TENCORE have signed a memorandum of understanding providing for the production of TENCORE’s TerMIT unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) in Canada and the integration of AuraNet — Dominion’s autonomous command-and-control system for management and oversight across all operational environments. Dominion Dynamics said this in a press release.
The companies signed the agreement during the AUSA 2026 defence conference in Washington. The partnership will support the deployment of the AuraNet command-and-control and autonomy hardware-and-software suite on the front line in Ukraine and the further development of the system, Dominion Dynamics said.
Dominion plans to manufacture TerMIT at Canadian facilities. Production is scheduled to begin in 2027. The TENCORE team will oversee the initial technology transfer and train Canadian specialists to produce these UGVs.
Dominion also plans to develop a TerMIT variant adapted for Arctic conditions, for use by Canadian forces and for export to NATO allies. The companies will continue work on finalising the definitive agreements.
“The most important lesson the war has taught Ukraine is speed. Requirements on the battlefield change in a matter of weeks, so production, operational feedback and engineering must function as a single cycle: build, deploy, learn, adapt and scale. Canada provides us with the manufacturing base, suppliers and reliable power supply needed to run this cycle together with allies who need such machines,” said TENCORE co-founder Roman Tkachenko.
The companies signed the memorandum following a joint declaration on defence co-operation, which Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed in September. Both countries committed to jointly producing thousands of unmanned systems over the next two years. A third of this output is planned to be allocated to the needs of Ukraine’s Defence Forces.
Dominion Dynamics is an Ottawa-based defence technology company that develops autonomous systems, sensor detection capabilities, as well as command-and-control systems needed to protect Canada and its allies. The company was founded in 2025.
TENCORE LLC is a Ukrainian company engaged in the design, development, production and full life-cycle support of unmanned ground platforms, including TerMIT systems, as well as integrated robotic solutions. The company already has experience of international co-operation. In particular, in August TENCORE and Finnish technology company Insta agreed to establish a joint venture to produce TerMIT 2.0 unmanned ground vehicle systems in Finland.
It was also reported earlier that Germany funded the delivery of 2,000 Ukrainian TerMIT UGVs to Ukraine during 2026. Under the plans, the systems will be manufactured in Germany by Quantum Tencore Industries — a joint venture between German company Quantum Systems and Ukraine’s Tencore.
