Ukrainian companies Roboneers and Burevii have launched a joint effort to integrate the remotely operated Shablya line of combat modules onto the ARDAL 920 unmanned ground vehicle (UGV). The manufacturers reported this on Instagram.

The developers say the main goal is to provide units with a mobile combat platform that can be configured for a specific mission — from assault rifles to a grenade launcher on a single ground platform.

Roboneers says that integration with the ARDAL 920 expands the range of platforms on which the Shablya line modules operate. The companies plan to integrate the following module variants:

  • ‘Shablya 7.62’ for 7.62 mm machine guns such as the PKT;
  • ‘Shablya M240’ for 7.62 mm machine guns such as the M240;
  • ‘Shablya K-2’ with two AK-74 assault rifles;
  • ‘Shablya MK 19(M)’ for 40 mm grenade launchers such as the MK19 and AGL-53.

Shablya is a remotely operated combat module made by Roboneers. Its stated effective firing range is 2–2.4 kilometres. The module can operate actively for 20 hours and conduct observation for 120 hours. Control is via Wi-Fi or a 100-metre cable. According to the company, the module has been used on the front line since 2023.

ARDAL 920 is a tracked unmanned ground platform used for logistics and evacuation. The developers note that its modular design allows additional equipment and combat modules to be integrated according to a unit’s tasks. The UGV’s maximum stated payload is 250 kg. The system can cover 50 km with a 150 kg load. The maximum speed is 14 km/h, the developers say.

It recently emerged that Ukrainian defence companies Roboneers and Partner-VS are integrating the remotely operated Shablya combat module onto the Vepr UGV. Roboneers says they want to obtain a mobile combat platform that can be equipped with weapons depending on the specific mission.

As a reminder, in September Roboneers codified the ShaRys PRO Mk.19 (M) combat UGV. The system is supplied as a ready-to-use combat system, comprising the platform, a remotely operated module and armament. The Shablya Mk.19 (M) can use the Ukrainian-made 40 mm automatic grenade launcher AGL-53, as well as the MK19 or its equivalent. The stated effective engagement range is up to 1,500 metres.
