On the night of 16 October, the Russian army attacked Cherkasy Region, including the city of Uman. Five people were injured. Three of them were taken to hospital, while medics treated two others at the scene.
This was reported by the State Emergency Service, as well as the regional police.
In Uman, the shelling sparked fires at three locations.
At the first location, a balcony on the second floor of a ten-storey building caught fire, along with a passenger car.
At the second, a fire broke out and the guardhouse of a residential complex was damaged. While clearing the debris, rescuers found a man under the rubble and saved him.
At the third location, a fire broke out in an open area on the premises of a commercial enterprise.
All fires have now been extinguished.
