Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said the United States is once again sharing intelligence after the process was paused for a period.

The Ukrainian leader said this on Sunday in an interview with NBC, Bloomberg reports.

Zelensky also expressed hope that talks with the United States would take place as early as this week.

  • Recently, Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said that Ukraine continues to receive intelligence from the United States.
  • It was previously reported that US officials stepped up pressure on Ukraine, demanding it stop strikes on Russian oil refineries, otherwise threatening to halt the transfer of intelligence.
  • The Financial Times wrote that last week Ukraine’s negotiating team met with Trump representatives in Miami for almost eight hours. The sides were expected to discuss ways to persuade Russia to end the war.
  • The US administration has already suspended intelligence sharing with Ukraine: in March 2025, cooperation was halted for eight days after a dispute between Trump and Zelensky.
  • On the evening of 12 October this year, the Russian army used missiles against Kyiv. The first explosions were heard even before the air-raid siren. Afterwards, Zelensky said Ukraine had not received a warning from partners about the missile attack on Kyiv.
  • Restrictions on Starlink’s operation were also recorded. The military reported on the morning of 14 October that service had been cut off at speeds of 160 km/h. This disrupted some planned missions and created difficulties in repelling Russian drone attacks. SpaceX founder Elon Musk said the decision on restrictions is made by the US government.
