The 1,709th day of the Russian Federation’s full-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun. In total, 189 combat engagements were recorded over the past day. Forty-two clashes took place on the Pokrovsk axis.
The General Staff emphasises that Ukrainian defenders continue the systematic destruction of the enemy, put up effective resistance along the entire front line, and inflict significant losses on the occupiers.
Yesterday, enemy aircraft carried out 79 air strikes, including dropping 257 guided aerial bombs. In addition, the invaders used 9,135 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,439 attacks on populated areas and the positions of our troops.
The settlements of Mala Korchakivka, Luzhky, Pysarivka, Nova Sich, Ulanove, Yastrubyne, Bachivsk, Kucherivka, Bunyachyne and Myropillia in Sumy region came under artillery fire. In addition, air strikes hit areas around the settlements of Vilna Sloboda, Khrapivshchyna, Mykilske and Yastrubyne in Sumy region.
Over the past day, aircraft, missile forces and artillery of the Defence Forces struck two areas where enemy personnel were concentrated and one command post for unmanned aerial vehicles.
On the North Slobozhanskyi axis the invaders attacked four times in the areas of Tovstodubove, Ulanove and Ryzhivka.
On the South Slobozhanskyi axis Ukrainian units repelled seven enemy attacks. The occupiers tried to advance in the areas of Ternova, Starytsia, Ozerne and Khrypuny.
On the Kupiansk axis the enemy attacked once in the area of Novoosynove.
Attempts to advance were halted on the Lyman axis, where our defenders repelled five attacks in the areas of Nadiia, Kolodiazi, Lyman and Dibrova.
On the Sloviansk axis the invaders carried out two attacks in the areas of Zakitne and Kryva Luka.
On the Kramatorsk axis the enemy did not conduct assault operations over the past day.
On the Kostiantynivka axis 18 attacks were recorded. The occupiers conducted assault operations in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka, Novoselivka, Rozkishne, Dovha Balka, Novohryhorivka, Mykolaipillia, Novopavlivka and Petrivka.
On the Pokrovsk axis our defenders stopped 42 attacks. The enemy attacked in the areas of Serhiivka, Molodetske and Novopavlivka, and also carried out assaults towards Toretske, Kucheriv Yar, Sofiivka, Vilne, Zolotyi Kolodiaz, Nove Shakhove, Stepiv, Novyi Donbas, Chernihivka, Sviatohorivka, Dobropillia, Novohryshyne and Udachne.
On the Oleksandrivka axis our troops repelled one enemy attack in the area of Kalynivske.
On the Huliaipole axis nine attacks by the invaders were repelled in the areas of Kosivtseve, Nove Zaporizhzhia, Verkhnia Tersa, Huliaipilske, Bilohiria and Charivne.
On the Orikhiv axis our defenders repelled one enemy attack in the area of Novoiakivlivka.
On the Dnipro axis no active enemy operations were recorded.
On the Volyn and Polissia axes the situation remains largely unchanged. No signs of the enemy forming offensive groupings have been detected.
- Overall, over the past day, Russian invader losses amounted to 1,560 personnel. One tank, five armoured combat vehicles, 25 artillery systems, four multiple launch rocket systems, four ground robotic systems, one aircraft (confirmed for a previous period), 1,614 unmanned aerial vehicles, 272 vehicles and one unit of specialised equipment were also neutralised.
