A tribute to the events on Kiev's Independence Square which took place these days in 2014 has been held in Kiev.
An LB.ua correspondent said around 400 people took part in a procession which took off from Mykhaylivska Square and walked along the city centre.

They walked towards the office of businessman Rinat Akhmetov for a brief rally. They shout slogans aimed at the National Guard and law enforcers who cordoned off the building. No clashes between the activists and the guards were observed.

The procession then moved to Hrushevskyy Street.

Exactly two years ago, the Ukrainian Maydan protests entered a new, radical phase which involved violent clashes between the protests and police. Hundreds of activists were injured these days, and the first killings took place.
