Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko has expressed confidence that Ukraine will soon receive the next tranche of financial aid from the European Union (EU), UNIAN has reported.
"I am convinced that the EU will make a decision in the near future. Only a few weeks left for united Europe to open its visa-free doors for Ukrainians. I am sure we will soon receive a strong financial cushion for reforms in the form of a tranche from the EU, and I am also convinced that we will win, that a united strong Ukraine will win," Poroshenko said in Kharkiv during a ceremony to mark the opening of new metro station Peremoha (Victory).
As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine expects to receive EUR 600 million in macro-financial assistance from the EU.
