Prosecutor General Yury Lutsenko says the National Anti-Corruption Bureau has requested a probe into the actions of the head of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office Nazar Holodnytskyy.
"Unfortunately, the NABU is interfering with SAP. I hope we can help the two respected leaders to work together and send cases to the courts. These are new institutions, new leaders, so there are frictions. I do not want to be part of that confrontation," Lutsenko said on the channel 1+1 Thursday, November 1.
MP Vadym Denysenko (PPB) wrote on Facebook that the conflict between the two anticorruption chiefs concerns the case of Dmytro Firtash, but did not elaborate.
The NABU and SAP were created a year ago to work in in harness. Their task is to fight corruption in the higher echelons of power.
