Militant saboteur group abandons wounded at Svitlodarsk salient
It was not reported whether they were taken captive by the Ukrainian army.
One of the units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on 4 December repealed an attack by a sabotage and reconnaissance group of the Russian occupying troops at the Svitlodarsk salient, the antiterrorist operation (ATO) HQ has said on Facebook.
According to the HQ, the group was part of the 7th detached motorized rifle brigade of the 2nd army corps of the 8th army of the Russian Southern Military District.
"As a result of an engagement, the saboteurs left behind two wounded and one killed and rushed away," the HQ said.
It did not specify whether the wounded were taken captive by the Ukrainian army.
On 23 November, the Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff said that some units had "improved their tactical positions" in the Luhansk sector. It turned out later the ATO forces took control of the villages of Travneve and Hladosove in the "gray zone" at the Svitlodarsk salient.
