British Royal Force jets have intercepted Russian bombers over the Black Sea, the Royal Force tweeted on 22 August.
"RAF Typhoons based in Romania have been launched in response to two suspected Russian Su-30 Flanker aircraft operating near @NATO airspace over the Black Sea. #WeAreNATO," it said.
The Royal Air Force spotted significant Russian air presence in the Black Sea area.
According to Russian media reports, the Royal Air Force intercepted six Russian warplanes which flew close to the NATO airspace and turned back in the direction of Crimea.
Two weeks ago British jets had to be scrambled to intercept Russian bombers. A similar incident was also registered in late July.
