The Cabinet of Ministers has issued a resolution establishing the State Tax Service and the State Customs Service, the Finance Ministry has said.
The Fiscal Service, which was established on the basis of the Ministry of Income and Levies in 2014, will cease to exist.
The tax service and the customs service will be separate central executive bodies.
The Cabinet of Ministers plans to select heads of the new agencies during three months.
The decision to split the Fiscal Service is in line with the IMF recommendations and the government's mid-term priority action plan by 2020.
