The news-based 112 Ukrayina TV has changed hands, according to its website. The new owner is MP Taras Kozak, who is believed to be close to controversial pro-Russian politician Viktor Medvedchuk.
Its previous owner, German national Eduard Katz, who could be a stooge, announced he was leaving the Ukrainian media business and selling the channel to Kozak.
"I promised the channel's unimpeded operation despite the pressure from the authorities. Certainly, I guarantee that there will be no intrusion in its editorial policy," Kozak said.
He also owns the pro-opposition news-based NewsOne TV.
