Three Ukrainian servicemen of the fifth battalion tactical group of the 59th detached motorized infantry brigade got killed near Novoluhanske after tripping an improvised explosive device.

President Volodymyr Zelensky has ordered Defence Minister Andriy Taran and Commander-in-Chief Rusla Khomchak to urgently visit the Joint Forces Operation area in order to probe the servicemen's death. The State Investigation Bureau has opened a criminal case over the incident.

Ukraine's top negotiator on Donbas Leonid Kravchuk has said on the air of ICTV that Ukrainian troops should return every enemy shot.

UAE

President Volodymyr Zelensky is visiting the UAE on 14-15 February. A number of bilateral agreements concerning the avoidance of double taxation, prevention of tax evasion, cooperation in the fight against crime and terrorism were signed.

As part of Zelensky's visit to the UAE, the state defence concern Ukroboronprom has signed a trilateral cooperation agreement with Tawazun Economic Council and EDGE Group worth over 1bn dollars.

Ambassador's death

Ukraine's ambassador to China, Serhiy Kamyshev, has died, aged 64, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has said on Facebook. According to ZN.ua, he had a stroke. "We cannot pretend and say that we are observing the ceasefire while they are shooting, that we are so good that we are observing the ceasefire. Every shot must be returned," he said.
