Austria reached the knockout stages of the European Championship for the first time, having defeated Ukraine 0:1. Ukraine - third in Group C - must wait to see if their tally of three points proves enough to reach the knockout stages.
UK naval cooperation
Ukraine and Great Britain have signed a memorandum on maritime partnership projects between the UK industry consortium and the Ukrainian Navy, the Ukrainian Defence Ministry has said. Under the memorandum, the sides plan to jointly design and build naval ships in Ukraine Great Britain. The signing ceremony was held on board HMS Defender which called at Odesa.
Incident
One person died and three more were injured by a blast in a five-storied apartment building in Bilohorodka, one of Kyiv's suburbs. The blast also caused a massive fire which engulfed the two upper floors. Residents had to be evacuated.
Crimea sanctions
The Council today decided to renew sanctions introduced in response to the illegal annexation of Crimea and Sevastopol by the Russian Federation for a further year until 23 June 2022. The restrictive measures currently in place target EU imports of products originating in Crimea or Sevastopol, and infrastructural or financial investments and tourism services in Crimea or Sevastopol.
