A Ukrainian serviceman was wounded in Donbas, the Joint Forces Operation HQ has said. Russia-backed separatists violated the ceasefire four times on 27 June, firing with 120-mm and 82-mm mortars near Shumy, automatic grenade launchers near Starohnativka, anti-tank grenade launchers and small arms near Vodyane.

On 26 June, separatists committed 16 ceasefire violations.

Senior soldier Andriy Honar of the 58th detached motorized infantry brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was killed near Pisky on 26 June.


President Volodymyr Zelenskyy took part in a panel discussion "Germany's global role" organized by the Munich Security Conference during which he addressed the candidates for German chancellor.

"The Bundestag elections are important to us because Germany is our key partner. It is an important party to the Normandy format and our ally on the path to the European community," he said, before putting a number of questions to the candidates.

"Do you agree that the European project will not be complete and comprehensive without Ukraine? Do you agree that Ukraine's path to Europe should be a two-way street? Seven years have passed since the Revolution of Dignity when hundreds of Ukrainians gave their lives for the European choice. Isn't Europe tired of dodging the issue of Ukraine's membership in the EU for so long? And isn't it time to move from diplomatic avoidances to clear answers, conditions, steps and deadlines? " he asked.


Ukraine is planning to agree on the so-called "visa-free" arrangements in the industrial, aviation, customs, energy and digital areas in the next five years, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has said. The arrangements are expected to give Ukrainian businesses easier access to the EU market.


President Zelenskyy has signed bill No 5309 into law which amends the law on public procurement. The bill is considered controversial for it exempts the Big Kyiv Ring Road construction of public procurement tender procedures. The cost of the project is 85bn hryvnyas.


A 23-year-old runner died during the Lviv half marathon, the Lviv city council has said.
