The Ukraine national team has scored two bronze medals since the beginning of the Tokyo Olympics on 23 July thanks to judoka Daria Bilodid (women -48 kg) and Igor Reizlin in fencing (men's epee individual).
Donbas
A Ukrainian serviceman sustained a fragmentation wound in Donbas on 25 July, the North Operational-Tactical Group has said on Facebook. His condition is of medium gravity.
Dmytro Sivokon from the 57th detached motorized infantry brigade, who was badly wounded in Luhansk Region last week, died in a Kharkiv hospital, volunteer Yaryna Chahovets has told Suspilne.
Drills
The UK-Ukrainian military exercise Cossack Mace 2021 has finished in Mykolayiv Region. It involved around 2,000 servicemen and over 300 items of military hardware from five partner states.
Coronavirus
Three cases of the Delta variant of the coronavirus were confirmed in Lviv Region, the healthcare department of the regional state administration has said. Two people visited Great Britain and one came from Russia.
