There is fighting in the streets of Sumy. The city’s Territorial Defense Forces are holding back the enemy.
“At present, there is fighting in the streets of Sumy. You are advised to remain at home, stay away from the windows, and draw the curtains. At 9:03 a.m., an enemy convoy passed through Yunakivka. Russian heavy armor is approaching Sumy. Fuel tank trucks are moving in from Kurska,” reports the Sumy military administration.
The Sumy Territorial Defense Forces are holding the enemy back at Kurskyi Avenue.
Earlier on February 26, Chernihiv Mayor Vladyslav Atroshenko urged the citizens to prepare for fighting in the streets.
According to Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klytchko, the Ukrainian capital has been through a difficult night, but there are currently no enemy forces in the city. There may be Russian sabotage groups in Kyiv. The enemy is trying to break through to the capital from Hostomel and Zhytomyr.
According to Kherson Mayor Ihor Kolykhaiev, Ukrainian forces control the city, public transportation is operational, and there are no problems with water supply.
