On the night of February 23-24, Russia launched a full-scale war against Ukraine. Russian troops have appeared not only in the Crimea and parts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions they have occupied since 2014, but also in peaceful cities controlled by the legitimate authorities.
The enemy is fighting in all directions: from the air, land and water. Russian President Vladimir Putin calls it a "military operation."
Ukraine calls on the world community to unite for help, because the war here is a war in Europe.
In response to Russia's brutal war, sanctions have been imposed, the Council of Europe has stripped Russia of its representation on the Committee of Ministers and the PACE, and Italy has said it will support the aggressor's exclusion from SWIFT.
