In Ukraine, in the capital in particular, the number of detected marks placed by the saboteurs right in the streets and on buildings, both the residential and the businesses ones has increased. The marks are placed to adjust the fire of the occupying forces of the Russian Federation, reminds the Kyiv City State Administration.
In different regions of Ukraine, the citizens, who are placing such marks for a reward what is a manifestation of high level of cynicism while the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Territorial Defense Units are fighting heroically, are identified and detained.
We emphasize that in Ukraine there is criminal liability for the acts like thees established by Articles 111 and 113 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Article 111. Treason is an act intentionally committed by a citizen of Ukraine in order to damage sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability, defense, state, economic or information security of Ukraine: joining the enemy during martial law or during armed conflict, espionage, assisting foreign state, foreign organization or their representatives in subversive activities against Ukraine. The punishment for the crime is imprisonment for a term from twelve to fifteen years with or without confiscation of property.
An individual may be released from criminal liability only if he/she has not taken any action in completing of the criminal task of a foreign state, foreign organization or their representatives and has voluntarily admitted his/her connection to them and the task received to the state authorities.
Article 113 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - sabotage, ie committing explosions, arson or other acts in order to weaken the state that are aimed at mass elimination of people, causing injuries or harming health, destruction or damage to objects of major economic importance or defensive significance. The punishment for the crime is imprisonment for a term from ten to fifteen years with or without confiscation of property.
Kyiv City authorities are asking the citizens to report immediately about detected marked locations, submit photos to law enforcement, and inform about suspects who may be involved in placing the marks. For this purpose an official chat-bot was created @stop_russian_war_bot - The bot receives and transmits information to the correspondent headquarters.
