The Armed Forces of Ukraine have repelled Russian occupiers from the city of Volnovakha in the Donetsk region. This was announced during a briefing by Oleksiy Arestovych, an Adviser to the Head of the President Administration. He also gave details about the current situation in other areas:
- Northwest of Kyiv - the enemy has stopped moving in this direction, in fact it is a tactical retreat, according to Arestovich. The artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to strike at the occupiers.
Chernihiv and Sumy directions - silence.
Kharkiv direction - the attempt to enter deep into Kharkiv territory during the day ended badly for the occupier.
Reports from Kupyansk, that the city had surrendered to Russia, are still being verified.
The Ukrainian military repelled forces from Mariupol.
Berdyansk is currently occupied by Russian troops that were moving from occupied Melitopol.
Russian troops from Crimea are moving towards Kherson.
There was a missile strike on Kyiv. Of three missiles, one was not found, one was shot down and one hit the area of Sofiyivska Borshchahivka.
There were air strikes on Zhytomyr and Zaporizhzhya.
"We feel optimistic, there is nothing to be afraid of. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are conducting a successful defense operation, and we must remember that every day is a new loss for the enemy. And for us - new victories," added Arestovich.
