President Volodymyr Zelensky stated in a video address that on Monday, 28 February, the army of the Russian Federation carried out three rocket-bomb attacks on Kyiv.
"And now about Kyiv, our beautiful capital, where our state stands, our security. For the enemy, Kyiv is a key goal. They want to break our national statehood. Therefore, the capital is constantly under threat. Only today, three missile and bomb strikes have been carried out. CHP-6 is the main target. They want to shut down the power plant and leave our city without electricity. We do not allow them to break the defence of the capital, and they send saboteurs to us. Constantly. Hundreds. Everyone, we neutralize all of them," Zelensky said.
He also noted that the authorities, in addition to defence, are concerned about providing people with everything they need.
"We have set up a 24-hour coordination headquarters that collects all inquiries from regional administrations about the lack of essentials —products, medicines, fuels, equipment. The headquarters directly find suppliers who can quickly and efficiently cover such needs", said Zelensky.
Earlier, the State Service of Special Communication and Information Protection published a video of an air raid on Kyiv. The enemy troops struck a missile near Brovary. The mayor Igor Sapozhko reported about six wounded.
Since the beginning of the open invasion, Russia has launched 113 Iskander and Caliber surface-to-sea tactical missiles at peaceful towns and villages in Ukraine.
