National Bank opens account for humanitarian aid to victims of Russian aggression

The National Bank of Ukraine has opened a current account for the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine for humanitarian purposes.

This was announced by the Chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine Kyrylo Shevchenko.

The account will be used for transferring donations from Ukraine and abroad.

“Russian aggression has left thousands of Ukrainians without homes, money, clothes, and other basic things. However, Ukraine and the world do not leave them alone with their grief—financial support is actively coming from the citizens of our country and from abroad," the statement says.

Unlike the special account opened for financing the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the funds from this account will be spent to help citizens who suffer the most from the war with Russia.

To this account, the Ministry of Social Policy will direct funds for:

providing food and accommodation for refugees and citizens who have left their places of residence because of military operations;

providing them with clothes and shoes, medicines and drugs;

providing the population with essential goods;

providing one-time financial assistance, meeting other essential needs of human life.

Here are the details of the account of the Ministry of Social Policy: UA823000010000032302338301027.

This account accepts multiple currencies. It has been established and opened to receive transfers from international partners and donors both in foreign currency (US dollars, euros, British pounds) and from Ukrainian businesse and citizens in the national currency.
