Tuition and accommodation costs for all Ukrainian students in Polish universities will be suspended due to hostilities in Ukraine, reports the Ministry of Education of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian Minister of Education Serhiy Shkarlet and the Polish Minister of Education Przemyslaw Charnek discussed this issue during a meeting on March 1.
"I am receiving many questions from Ukrainian students studying at Polish universities about the possibility of deferring tuition and living expenses due to the dirty attack on Russia. Mr. Charnek assured that he had already asked the rectors to provide such an opportunity and support Ukrainian students "- reported Scarlett.
The head of the Ministry of Education and Science also said that he had returned to his Polish counterpart with a request to "immediately terminate all relations with the Russian Federation in the field of education and science."
Charnek noted that Poland condemns Russia's actions against Ukraine and has already severed all educational, scientific and research relations with the aggressor country, declaring this publicly at the highest level.
With the escalation of hostilities, the State Border Guard Service reported that queues of people leaving Ukraine have increased at the Polish border.
