The Head of the Dagestan Republic expressed condolences over the of a Russian staff officer in Ukraine.

It is for the first time that Russia acknowledged the losses of its troops in Ukraine. This has been reported by “Novaia Gazeta” with reference to RIA Dagestan.

Dagestan President Serhiy Melikov expressed his condolences over the death of Nurmagomed Hajimagomedov, Russian military personnel. Gadzhimagomedov served in the 247th Guards Cossack Airborne Assault Caucasian Cossack Regiment troops.

Serhii Melikov is as of now the first Russian official to formally acknowledge the military losses of Russian troops during their invasion into Ukraine. 

To recap, in the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the Russian occupiers have suffered significant losses in aviation, armored vehicles and manpower over the past 24 hours.

"Russian occupation forces have lost at least 11 helicopters of various types, three Su-30 SM fighters, two Su-25 attack aircraft and another military transport IL-76 MD with an occupying landing party," the General Staff said.
