The city of Vasylkiv in Kyiv region, which after long battles remained under control of Armed Forces of Ukraine suffered winged missiles attack. The occupiers fired a missile at the BRSM oil depot.
According to the Adviser to the Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Anton Gerashchenko, Russia has created an ecological catastrophe of colossal proportions.
He said that rescuers had left to the site of the tragedy. "Most likely, there were casualties," he added.
The Mayor of Vasulkiv, Natalia Balasynovych confirmed that the oil depot was on fire after the missile strike.
"Dear Vasylkiv community, you see what is happening now, you see the fire. Unfortunately, oil depot in Kryuchky is on fire. The enemy wants to destroy everything around him, but he will not succeed," Balasynovych said.
"Today during the day there were heavy ballistic missile attacks. The enemy wants to destroy everything around him, but he will not succeed. Now there are strikes being fired, but everything will be fine. The night will be difficult for both Vasylkiv and Kyiv, but we will definitely win because God is with us",- she added.
Let us remind you that there was a large-scale fire at oil depot of a network of BRSM gas stations near village Kriachky that lasted from the 8th to the 16th of June 2015. The fire was followed by explosions of tanks. As a result, six people died and 15 more were injured. Suspicions were announced, in particular, to the head and chief engineer of the oil depot.
Two SES officials were judged because of the fire at the oil depot near Vasylkiv.
