Kyiv is preparing for defense and doing everything for life support - creating a reserve of food, medicines and other essential supplies.
It was reported by the Mayor of the capital Vitaliy Klytschko.
"We distribute and provide assistance to those who need it most today. I ask all Kyiv residents to be strong. Be at home or in shelters – at civil defense sirens. Kyiv will withstand it! It will defend itself! We’ll withstand it together! Glory to Ukraine!” he said.
Klytschko added that Ukrainian cities are heroically defending themselves, the military is bravely defending our land, and civilians are fearlessly protesting against the invaders.
"In addition, humanitarian aid was sent to Chernihiv. We are trying to deliver it to Bucha and Gostomel. We are forming humanitarian cargoes for some other cities," the mayor said.
