Russia randomly shelled residential areas and the center of Chernihiv tonight. The enemy aimed at the city at random, hit school and residential houses. Part of the city was left without electricity. Fighting is also taking place on the outskirts of Chernihiv and in the region.
Kherson region remains under occupation, a lot of residential areas are left without power, gas, water supply, food, and medicine. There is a need for a green corridor as stated in a military report from the heads of regional state administrations distributed by the press center of the President Office.
The northern part of Zhytomyr region came under shelling in the evening. The civil infrastructure in the cities of Ovruch, Malyn, Korosten, and the village of Vyazivka, Korosten district was ruined. The air strikes were aimed at private houses, the Employment Center building. One of the missiles exploded near the school.
Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are conducting a defense operation in Zaporizhzhia region, near the cities of Huliaipole, Orikhiv and in the direction of Vasylivka-Balabino. The cities of Polohy, Vasylivka, Tokmak are temporarily occupied. The nuclear power plant remains under the control of the occupier.
Khmelnytsky region spent the night without shelling, though air raid sirens were heard. As a result of yesterday’s enemy strikes on the airfield one person was killed and three were injured.
The night in Sumy region was without air strikes. The situation in Okhtyrka and Trostyanets remains critical. A large number of Russian troops enter the region.
There were air raids in Poltava, Lubny, and Pyriatyn.
The night passed quietly in Luhansk region, in the morning heavy artillery started hitting Severodonetsk. Popasna has been under mass shelling for two days now. Yesterday an evacuation train was sent carrying more than 2,000 people.
Mariupol and Volnovakha of Donetsk region are under siege. There are ongoing fights. Late at night there were air raid sirens in Kramatorsk. Humanitarian cargoes, received from Dnipro, Cherkasy and Lviv, have already been sent to the region. There is a need for a green corridor.
In the Kyiv region, the fighting is in the direction of Makariv-Irpin-Hostomel. Constant air raid sirens are heard. There was an air strike in the village of Byshiv, Fastiv district.
Constant air attacks on apartment buildings continued in various parts of Kharkiv throughout the night.
There were three air raids sirens during the night in Dnipropetrovsk region. It’s quiet there now. Mykolayiv was shelled by MLRS. In other parts of the region the night was relatively calm.
It was relatively calm in Vinnytsia region at night. Since 5:30 air raids sirens have sounded.
It was quiet in Kirovohrad, Volyn, Rivne, Cherkasy, Lviv, Chernivtsi, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Odesa, Zakarpattya regions.
