As of March 11, more than UAH 11.3 bln have been transferred to the special account to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This was reported on the Facebook page of the National Bank.
The funds were transferred by both Ukrainians and foreign citizens and companies from the United States, Great Britain, Poland, Germany, Sweden, Finland, the Czech Republic, China, France, Canada, and many countries around the world.
According to the National Bank, almost 10.2 bln hryvmyas has already been transferred from the funds received for the military needs, including:
for the National Guard of Ukraine - UAH 950 mln;
for the National Police of Ukraine - UAH 1,650 mln;
for the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine - only almost UAH 7,171.3 mln;
for the State Border Guard Service - UAH 420 mln.
"Currently, the balance on the special account is almost UAH 1.14 bln," the NBU said.
Earlier, on February 24, the NBU opened a special multi-currency account to raise funds in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The account No. is UA843000010000000047330992708.
As of March 5, the account for the needs of the Ukrainian army received almost UAH 10 bln.
