Almost one million Ukrainians are without electricity and another 260,000 without gas, owing to the Russian invasion.
The news was reported on Energoatom’s Telegram channel.
"Because of the occupiers 1,679 settlements, or more than 928,000 consumers, remain without electricity. About 259,000 consumers remain without a gas supply," reported Energoatom.
The company said that over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian energy companies have restored electricity supply to about 43,500 consumers.
Izyum Deputy Mayor, Volodymyr Matsokin, said that the city of Izyum had been under siege by the Russian occupiers for two weeks. They are living without water, light, heat, food, medicine and communication.
