Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov was not in Ukraine last week, “Ukrainska Pravda” (UP) reports.

On March 13, Russian Telegram channels reported that Kadyrov was in Ukraine and had met with Chechen forces fighting on Russia's side against Ukraine.

Russian propagandists have released a video from which they concluded that the Chechen leader is within a radius of 7 kilometers from Kyiv.

On March 14, Kadyrov posted a video on his Telegram channel, saying he recorded it in Hostomel, 25 km from the Ukrainian capital.

Adviser to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Oleksiy Arestovych said that information about Kadyrov's stay in Ukraine is being checked.

"Nevertheless, his appearance does not influence anything. If there is information about his wherebouts, we will kill him. If there is no information, we will kill him next time", - Arestovich emphasized.

According to the UP sources in the Security Service of Ukraine, Kadyrov has two phone numbers. Ukrainian mobile operators data prove that these numbers have not been roaming through Ukrainian communication towers in the last seven days.

Journalists used a public online service to find out the IP address, country and city where the Chechen leader's phone number is located.

This service generates a link that allows you to find the location of the number as soon as the user follows the link. The person checked will not be notified about this.

UP journalist sent a message to Kadyrov in the Telegram, introducing herself as a journalist for “RIA Novosti”. The text added links to the article on the very day when, according to Kadyrov, he was in Ukraine and near Kyiv.

The service published the following geolocation data of Kadyrov: Russian Federation, the city of Grozny.

According to the Chechen leader's phone, Kadyrov lied that he was near Kyiv on March 13.

Earlier on 14 March, the Adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Vadym Denisenko reported that Kadyrov's fighters wanted to seize an orphanage in the Kyiv region to blackmail the Ukrainian authorities. "The Ministry analyzed a video posted by the leader of the Chechen militants. It was concluded that the Kadyrovtsy planned to take the residents of the orphanage hostage and then blackmail Ukraine and the world. It was in one of the orphanages in Kyiv region that they shot their video." Denysenko noted.

On 9 March, the Ukrainian military defeated a group of Kadyrovtsy near Kharkiv.
