SSU: Russian conscripts sent to war in Ukraine are pushed to sign contracts as enlistee

Russian conscripts who are fighting on the territory of Ukraine are offered to sign contracts as enlistees because “anyway, nobody will take them away from there”. This is stated in the intercepted conversation of a soldier of the 15th Guards Motorized Rifle Regiment of the Tamanskaya Division of the Russian Federation with his mother, which was intercepted and published by the Security Service of Ukraine.

“Yesterday we were pushed to sign a contract, they wanted us to sign a contract for a tour of duty. Nobody signed. Everyone knows that this is a false pretense ... We were pushed to sign contracts; we were told directly: no one will take us away. We are here till the end. The man who sent us here has already been fired, no one will be able to take us away," the soldier said.

He also noted that their “behi” [slang term for infantry combat vehicles] break every day, and because their unit was not marked on the maps, they were shelled by their own troops.

The conscripts captured by the Ukrainian army gave a media briefing where they called on Putin to end the war.
