The Permanent Representative of Ukraine to UNESCO called for the exclusion of Russia from all institutions of the organization

Vadym Omelchenko, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to France and Permanent Delegate to UNESCO, called for Russia's expulsion from all of the organization's institutions.

This is stated on the Facebook page of the Ukrainian representation to UNESCO.

Omelchenko addressed the participants of the seventh special session of the Executive Council of the organization.

"Russia shamelessly demands that UNESCO "not politicize the Ukrainian issue. In fact, all these appeals not to politicize UNESCO are very similar to the tactics of the Russian invading army - burying guns in residential neighborhoods. Shame on Russia and all those who support it! I call for immediate measures to exclude the Russian Federation from all UNESCO bodies, as well as to reconsider the decision to hold the next session of the World Heritage Committee in Kazan," said Omelchenko.

He urged members of the organization "not to hide behind procedures, but to be vigilant and proactive.”

The Russian Federation has been expelled from the Council of Europe. The Council of Ministers made a decision to that effect. This was reported by the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Dmytro Kuleba.
