Zelenskyy: “In Last 24 Hours 4 Humanitarian Corridors Worked, 7,295 People Evacuated”

An art school in Mariupol, where 400 people had been hiding, was bombarded.

In the besieged Mariupol the Russian military dropped a bomb on an art school that had served as a shelter for 400 civilians, mostly women and children. They are all under the rubble now.

This has been reported by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zekenskyy in his message.

“Today I’ve spoken in the Knesset on behalf of all Ukrainians. I spoke to the people of Israel. Of course, they have their own interests and strategy for defending their citizens. The Prime Minister is trying to find a way of negotiation with Russia, and we are grateful for that,” he adds and emphasizes that the possible negotiations with Russia may take place in Jerusalem.

“But the Russian propagandists,” Zelenskyy continues in Russian, “have a difficult task today because the president of Ukraine, who they blame of Nazism, has spoken in the Knesset”.

During the last 24 hours, four humanitarian corridors have been working, and 7,295 people have evacuated. Nearly 4,000 citizens of Mariupol have arrived in Zaporizhzhia. New buses will head to the city in the morning. More than 3,000 people have been rescued from the Kyiv region. In the Kharkiv region, the Russian military has captured a humanitarian column, and there is no connection with six people: five drivers, and one doctor. “We will rescue them and deliver the necessary things again and again,” Zelenskyy reports.

“The Kherson region has been fighting today, too. I’m grateful to them. The people are in the streets again – against occupiers, and without any weapons. This is an act of heroism. This is Ukraine which we are infinitely proud of”.

Also, Volodymyr Zelenskyy has reached an agreement with Boris Johnson about “specific support at the summits of the Group of Seven and NATO, which will take place next week”.
