"Over the last few weeks, we have seen deliberate shelling of cities and towns and civilians," - Austin said.
The Secretary added that Putin could not achieve his goals as quickly as he wanted.
On 19 March 2022, Austin said that the USA "observes a number of Russia's mistakes" during its invasion of Ukraine.
