Soldiers of the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Zakarpattia Brigade captured Russian Army Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Koshel. The permanent location of his military unit is in Vladikavkaz in North Ossetia.

Major of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, spokesman for the 128th Brigade, Yaroslav Halas, announced it on the morning of 22 March.

Alexander Olegovich Koshel is the head of the information and psychological counteraction group of the military unit 47084 of the Russian army. He was born on 5 April 1982, personal number F-905994, military rank - lieutenant colonel. The 128th Separate Mountain Assault Zakarpattia Brigade took a new prisoner during a skirmish with a unit of the 58th Army of the Russian Federation. The permanent location of unit 47084 is Vladikavkaz, Republic of North Ossetia - Alania.

There is the battle place and the destroyed Russian military truck in one of the photos published by the spokesman of the Zakarpattia Legion.

Halas explained that immediately after Koshel's capture, the Russians launched significant forces to free him. In particular, they raised aircraft that fired at Ukrainian attack aircraft. However, no one was injured in the enemy fire, and the brigade took the prisoner to a safe rear place.

The 128th Brigade soldiers were surprised to find that Lieutenant Colonel Koshel was wearing underwear and socks marked "Armed Forces of Ukraine" during a personal search.

"It is an eloquent proof that the Russian Army staff recognizes that even the pants and socks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are better than the underwear of the overestimated "Second Army of the World", said the major.

Halas explained that the enemy's desperate attempts to free the prisoner were understandable as Koshel was in touch with the 58th Army of the Russian Federation commander, Lieutenant General Mikhail Zusko, who personally made daily reports. Zusko himself comes from Ukraine, from a small village Vetly, Kamin-Kashyrskyi district, Volyn region.

"Now he is fighting against Ukraine, but completely unsuccessfully. The 58th Army of the Russian Federation tried to advance deep into our territory in the Mykolaiv direction. A week and a half ago, the Armed Forces of Ukraine utterly defeated it, including the 128th Brigade units. After that, Zusko earned himself the nickname of the most incompetent Russian general," said a spokesman for the Zakarpattia Legion.

Now the captured Koshel is giving evidence to Ukrainian counterintelligence agents.
