Danilov: They are probably looking for scapegoats for the failures in Ukraine among Russian military

The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Oleksyy Danilov, believes that the disappearance from public view of the key russian strongmen is a sign of a hunt for scapegoats for the failures in Ukraine among military and secret service (FSB) ranks. It was reported by RBK-Ukraine, citing Danilov's statement during the telethon.

"Now they are trying to find out who dropped the ball and led them into this risky undertaking without reliable information about our country. They are settling accounts among institutions. FSB points the finger at the military; the military blames other structures," said Danilov.

The Secretary also stated that the russian army replaced "a great many generals."

"They believe that they can renew the assault on our territory with new forces. But we know it won't help them," said Danilov.

"What is happening now is the wiping out of the Russian Federation by its president. No one else did this to them; they've been destroying themselves over the past 22 years," added the Secretary.

For two weeks, the two key russian strongmen, the Minister of Defense, Sergey Shoigu and the General staff Valeriy Gerasimov, have been absent from the public functions and television.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sergey Lavrov, is the only one still present. He keeps pushing narratives of "denazification," "biological weapons," etc. Putin's spokesperson, Dmitriy Peskov, is also active, assuring the public that "the special operation in Ukraine" is proceeding as planned.
