Support for health care workers and hospitals: «Health of the Ukrainian People» Foundation has announced money raise

From the first days of russian invasion on the Ukraine territory, a fierce struggle has been going on not only on battlefields, but also in hospitals. Doctors stand at the forefront, giving help injured, sick people and women in labor. Hundreds of ambulances are on call under fire. International Charitable Foundation "Health of the Ukrainian people" together with hundreds of different organizations and initiatives became strong support for providing hospitals and doctors with medicines, consumables, clothing, food, etc.

"Today, our charitable foundation, together with other partner foundations, is working to solve the main problem - rebuilding the logistics system, which includes: storage, sorting and transportation of humanitarian aid (medical supplies). For the last few weeks, we have been working on establishing a structure and implementing an effective model of humanitarian aid delivery. All medical supplies must be on time and professionally sorted and sent to intended hospitals for well-defined requests," said Serhiy Soshynsky, Minister of Health Adviser and President of ICF "Health of the Ukrainian people".

The Foundation initiated creation of "Coalition of Non-Profit Organizations Working with Medical and Humanitarian Cargo" (hereinafter "Coalition"), including identified by Ministry of Health of Ukraine, which has already been adapted for cooperation with other partner organizations. This will allow implementation of standards and procedures for handling of humanitarian medical supplies, their preservation and clear targeted delivery.

A large amount of money is directed by donors to support the UFA and Territorial Defense units, and this is certainly correct due to large-scale military action. But the number of displaced people is increasing day by day, increasing the burden on certain health facilities, and charity assistance must be correctly distributed and delivered to the final beneficiaries on time. The sums that have been accumulated on fund accounts for today are not enough for the purchase of medicines and medical equipment, that’s why "Health of the Ukrainian people" Foundation has announced money raise.

"Unfortunately, there are more and more wounded people every day. To save them requires critical and sometimes specific drugs, consumables and equipment for hundreds of operations. Some items of expenditure of the Foundation are logistics, which we pay not only for our own needs, but also for other funds abroad or in Ukraine, the purchase of fuel, rental of warehouses, etc. In total, to provide one city hospital with everything which is necessary for a few weeks or a month, we must raise about 15m hryvnya, so the fund needs financial assistance from concerned citizens and business representatives as never before. Only together we’ll do it quickly and effectively!” - Serhiy Soshynsky emphasizes.
