Four people killed, abductions continue in Sumy Region - governor

In the Sumy region, the occupiers have killed four people in the past 24 hours, and at least seven people are known to have been injured.

This was announced by the head of the Sumy сivil–military administration Dmytro Zhyvytskyi.

"I'll start with the hottest point: Trostyanets. Our Armed Forces are fighting for the liberation of the community! The community works under bullets and shelling: doctors do their job, local volunteers and activists support life in the community as much as possible in today's conditions. I understand that you want to know more about the situation in the city, but the fighting is still going on,” he said.

Fighting also took place in the Konotop district yesterday. Two of our people were wounded, two more were killed by enemy soldiers.

In the village of Velykyi Sambir, the occupiers fired with firearms at local civilians. Two people died.

Over the past 24 hours, a farm was destroyed by the russian military during the shelling of Syrovatka and Nyzy. Several people’s houses were also destroyed. There are five wounded in the hospital.

“Orcs resist, we have a lot of problems with them, both the living and the dead. They do not allow us to bury our people. We have to make graves in the gardens of private houses. But no one needs the corpses of orcs, they do not take corps of their soldiers and do not allow us to clean the bodies that are lying around the city and stink. This situation clearly shows the essence of the orcs. And given that there is no electricity in the local morgue for several days in a row, the situation is difficult," Zhyvytskyi added.

He noted that there is a mobile connection in the area, but there is no way to charge phones. "Many people can’t reach their nearest and dearest because of it. Orcs do not allow power engineers to fix the networks, there is no light, " said the head of the сivil–military administration.

In addition, kidnappings continue in the border villages of the Krasnopil community - yesterday the Russian military abducted a man.

Yesterday in Okhtyrka in the Sumy region, rescuers managed to free an injured woman from the blockages of damaged residential buildings, and the body of a dead man was also unblocked and released. In other settlements of the district, rescuers released four injured people from the blockages, and firefighting was conducted.

The Russian occupiers released from captivity the head of the Okhtyrka district council, Serhiy Kirichko, who had been there for a week.
