National Police of Ukraine reported that they had documented 18 shellings in the settlements of Severodonetsk, Lysychansk, Kreminna, and the village of Shchedrishcheve in the Luhansk region on 25 March. There are killed and wounded among the locals.
The statement said that private and high-rise buildings had been damaged. Food warehouses also came under artillery fire from the occupiers.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, residential and country houses, apartments, garages, warehouses, and forests were on fire in Severodonetsk. The occupiers fired on the emergency medical station.
A residential building caught fire in Zolote due to the shelling.
In Novotoshkivske, one wounded person resulted from the shelling; seven people were evacuated to safety.
In Lysychansk, a house caught fire due to the shelling.
More than ten fires occurred in the residential area in Rubizhne.
"The SES rescuers of the Luhansk region find it extremely difficult to put out fires under constant shelling. However, risking their lives, emergency workers keep performing their assigned tasks," the SES said.
Eleven volunteer headquarters in the region provide the citizens with food, medicine, and hygiene products. Luhansk SES, police, authorities and volunteers deliver food to bomb shelters every day.
"Almost 200 people were evacuated from Rubizhne and Toshkivka. People are finally safe," rescuers added.
